The Many Faces of Land Art

One of my favorite posts I've found on land art is this link to My Modern Met. For those trying to grasp what "land art" is, here are 21 unbelievably beautiful images all in one place, from the intricate cut-out of fall leaves (Walter Mason) to an ominous archway of tree branches (Andrew Goldsworthy) to a kaleidoscopic pattern in the sand (Jim Denevan). These artworks manipulate the environment to create swirls, gateways, and patterns that instantly appeal to the eye.

Land art reminds me of an environmental Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory: accomplishing the most imaginative twists and turns into nature.
